The Park People programs and events are designed to engage citizens, businesses and corporations. By engaging our community in programs and events which feature and support our treasured park system, we enable park usability and preservation for future generations. Through these efforts, we strive to improve community awareness, appreciation and engagement in our park systems.


Our programs and events include:

Weed-Out® a volunteer initiative designed to significantly reduce the proliferation of invasive plant species in our parks.


Oak Leaf Discovery Tour® a summer long event that encourages you to tour the beautiful 118 miles of Milwaukee County Parks Trails System.


Park Trails- An abundance of trails are waiting for you to explore. Learn more here

Become a Weed-Out® Warrior!

Join one of our upcoming events-
Friends of Doctor’s Park have scheduled three Weed-Out® events for 2018. All take place on Saturdays from 9am to noon:
April 28th, August 11th, and October 13th

Grant Park have scheduled several Weed-Out® events for 2018. All take place on Saturdays from 9am to noon:
April 28, May 5, 12, 19th- garlic mustard
The meeting location is the Tennis Courts Parking Lot on the Park Road
